Textbooks

Textbooks are carefully selected tools of learning and the main business of the bookstore. Students should budget an average of $400.00 per semester for books and supplies required for classes Books are usually on the shelves one week before a semester begins. Please bring your class schedule to get books.

Used Books

The bookstore operates a used book program to allow students to dispose of books they do not wish to keep so that other students may purchase good texts at a lower price. Students can save about 25% off the cost of textbooks by purchasing used books. The bookstore buys back some used books from students; the buyback of used books is NOT guaranteed. The bookstore pays 50% of the current retail price for current editions of books required for future classes. The used book policy and schedule for buyback are available at the bookstore.

At the end of each semester, the bookstore authorizes a used book wholesaler to come into the store to purchase used books. In addition to the books they purchase for use by the store, they will purchase other books at the wholesale price.

SRU Insignia Merchandise
