With more than 700 songs to his credit, composer/songwriter Jerome Kern has entertained millions with his Broadway musicals and film scores, Marvin will pay tribute to the creative force behind Showboat, Sunny and Sweet Adeline as well as Academy Award-winning songs like The Way You Look Tonight and The Last Time I Saw Paris.

A special reception for SRU friends and alumni will be held in the Mozart Room immediately following the concert.

Thanks to generous dean’s support we can offer the trip to SRU students at a reduced price:
$37 for seating in Family Circle or $21 for seating in the Gallery. Both prices also include the reception and bus transportation.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Premiere

Septime Webre brings the enchanting story of Cinderella to life in a delightfully humorous and stunningly beautiful production. With dazzling sets, comical costumes for the stepsisters, shimmering gowns for the ball scenes and enchanting fairies, this world-famous fairy tale features Sergei Prokofiev’s magnificent score. Cinderella is a classic ballet for all ages. Don’t miss it!

Lunch and Back Stage Tour, too


Join us before the performance for a special "SRU Only" lunch at the Benedum Center.  Please give us your lunch selection of:  (A) roast beef with Boursin cheese on a baguette (B) garlic chicken with red peppers on a baguette or C) cheese, mushrooms, onions & other veggies in a wrap. A personal back stage tour will follow lunch.

 

Date: Saturday, April 25, 2009, 2 p.m. show. Benedum Center, 719 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh
Coach transportation leaves at 10:45 a.m. from SRU’s Russell Wright Alumni House and Conference Center.  Plan to board at 10:30 a.m. Your boxed lunch will be available at noon. Your back stage tour begins at 1 p.m.
   
Cost: $60.00 includes ticket, lunch, back stage tour and round trip transportation
