Slippery Rock University exists for the purpose of helping students successfully fulfill their academic dreams. The Academic Honors Convocation is a time we set aside to celebrate our students' achievements and their progress in realizing their dreams.

We welcome you to this event. We take great pride in presenting these students to you and acknowledging their hard work. We will also use the opportunity to honor a very select group whose work or life contributes to our students' accomplishments.

This year, we are honoring more than 2,300 students for their academic achievements. In some cases, we note a single event deserving of our praise, in other cases, we celebrate an extended period of excellence. While we primarily honor scholastic work, we also recognize those who, in addition to their high academic performance, have excelled in athletics, service-learning, or extracurricular activities as well. We will also honor individuals who have attained great success as teachers, scholars, or in service to others.
