The Russell Wright Fitness Center (RWFC) Team is comprised of one professional staff member and multiple exercise specialists (upper-class exercise science majors) prepared to assist all students and patrons in enhancing their exercise programs and improving their fitness levels. ARC MEMBER FITNESS "PERK" PROGRAMS
Fitness Assessments: Resting HR, Resting BP, Body Composition
(% Body fat), Flexibility, Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, and Cardiovascular Fitness. Assessments available all year. A great way to establish goals for an exercise program. The exerciser can compare their data with norm charts and monitor their fitness progress.
Equipment Orientations: Fitness Center orientations include instruction for correct and safe operation of cardiovascular, selectorized, plate loaded and free weight equipment. Other topics covered include proper seat adjustment, movement speed, posture, breathing and muscle group isolation.
Exercise Programming: The RWFC Team is trained to assist members in the development of individualized fitness programs. Exercise programs include guidelines for aerobic, muscular fitness and flexibility activities based upon
individual goals.
HealthFest:: The ARC will host this annual event on Tuesday, October 20 from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the ARC's Gym A. This FREE intergenerational event is aimed at joining the university and tri county communities for a day of health related exhibits, screenings and presentations.
Private lessons conducted by outside instructors are PROHIBITED.

ACIS Fitness Rewards Program - ACIS is an incentive program to reward physical activity among students on campus, including participation in Intramural Sports, drop-in recreation, fitness classes and individual workouts at the Russell Wright Fitness Center. You will have the chance to participate in basic fitness assessments events both fall & spring semesters to track individual physical progress and team up with a partner for combined assesment results to receive a score to determine the campus champion. Possible chance for the champions to win a trip to ACIS Fitness Nationals.
