Sport Club Information

The Sport Club program promotes and provides opportunities for ROCK students with similar interests to participate in a wide variety of recreational sports.   Sport Clubs bridge the gap between intramural and intercollegiate athletics by providing competition at specialized levels, participation in tournaments and opportunities to practice.   A primary goal of the Sport Club program is to develop the leadership skills of ROCK students through their participation.

Every club is formed, developed and governed by its student membership in conjunction with the Coordinator of Sport Clubs/Outdoor Adventures.  New clubs can follow the procedures to become a recognized SRU organization by registering with the Center for Student Leadership, located in the University Union.  Students benefit from Sport Club participation by gaining leadership experience, traveling to other universities to compete, learning a new sport or maintaining sports skills and staying competitive in a sport you love.  The Sport Clubs brochure is available at the ARC and on the web @ www.sru.edu/arc included under programs.   For more information, contact Steve Roberts @ 724.738.2883.

Unless otherwise stated. No experience needed.
