Perk Programs are offered FREE to Slippery Rock University students and ARC members in each programming area. Also offered is Pay to Play programs. These programs require a fee and advanced registration.
Private lessons conducted by outside instructors are PROHIBITED.

AQUATIC "PERK" PROGRAMS
ROCK Aqua Fitness Basic Shallow Water – Geared for the beginner water exerciser or for seniors looking for a low impact aerobic workout.
Days: Monday & Wednesday

ROCK Aqua Fitness Intermediate Shallow Water – Intermediate water exercise class involving low to moderate impact and higher intensity level.

Arthritis Stretch Class – Participants will use gentle movements to help increase range of motion while decreasing stiffness and pain. Optional 20-minute low impact aerobic workout follows.

Swim Instructions - Available during the academic year and summer months for ages 3 and up including adults.

Summer 2010 2 and 3
Minimum registration: 5 Maximum registration: 20
Level 1 - Water Exploration: Designed as an introduction to the water without a guardian. Skill: basic swim and aquatic skills.
Level 2 - Primary Skills: Water bobs, floats and supported kick.
Skill: hold face submerged 3 seconds and bob 10 times.
Level 3 - Stroke Readiness: Focus on stroke skill. Skill: retrieve object from pool bottom and swim width of pool.
Youth, Teen and Adult Swim Instruction Schedule

Slippery Rock Eels Swim Team – competitive, yet developmental age-group swim team for children ages 5 to 18. Swimmers develop and improve stroke technique and endurance. Practices run October through mid-March with nine Saturday meets. Eels website is: sreels.com for more information.
