Welcome to ROCK Reality! Throughout the course of the year, continue to come back to follow the life and times of Jason Pitassi, a sophomore secondary education history major as he progresses through his second year at The Rock.  With the help of journals, pictures, and videos, you can see first hand what it is truly like to be a student on the Slippery Rock campus.  By reading the journals, looking at the pictures, and watching the videos, we hope that all incoming students can get a feel for campus life and make a flawless, ROCK SOLID transition from high school to Slippery Rock University.

The Birth of ROCK Reality - The grain of sand that was ROCK Reality was planted early in my career in the Orientation department.  I started working in January 2007 and a thought was presented to me: is it possible to do an online video journal of life in college?  This grain of sand grew into a tiny pebble when we thought about the types of videos that we could post (room tour, campus life, etc.).  This tiny pebble grew into a small stone towards the end of the semester when we realized that this dream could, in fact, become a reality in the fast approaching fall semester.  This small stone grew exponentially over the summer until now it rivals the landscape of the Petrified Forest in California because ROCK Reality has become a physical reality.  And you want to know the best part of all...we have only just begun.
