So, you may be asking yourself, "Why should I join a sorority or fraternity?" Greeks at Slippery Rock University are active in all aspects of the campus community. Greek Men and women participate in intramural leagues, community service, academic programs and honorary organizations. They works as research assistants, athletic trainers, are members of student government and many other student activities. Greek Life provides built in support for academic assistance, mentoring programs, and emotional well-being. These students can become very distinguished leaders connected to their campus community, have a great college experience and land top notch jobs when they graduate.
Requirements for Association
In order to join an SRU fraternity or sorority you must be a fully matriculated undergraduate student carrying a full course load (12 credits). Second semester freshman, sophomores, juniors or seniors who are interested in joining are required to have a 2.25 GPA depending on the organization they wish to join. First semester freshman are eligible to join but may be required to show proof of high school GPA before being accepted to association by particular organization.
