The Honors Program offers several leadership opportunities to serve on their executive board, work with a committee or join the Peer Mentoring Program.

The Student Government Association (SGA) is an association on campus that governs the clubs and organizations on campus. In addition, SGA provides funds for the majority of events and activities that occur on campus. SGA provides an excellent opportunity for students to expand their leadership abilities by running for an executive board or senate seat.

SRU’s Army ROTC provides those interested with the opportunity to prepare for service after graduation. Cadets learn values and skills that will later supplement their potential promotion as a Second Lieutenant.

The Council of Student Leaders is a discussion forum for student organization presidents. Presidents are invited to attend monthly meetings to offer suggestions, share information, and participate in leadership development activities.

Educational seminars are offered routinely by the Center for Student Involvement & Leadership. These seminars are generally open to any interested student. Information concerning educational seminars and workshops is usually posted on campus bulletin boards.
