Become a ROCK Solid Commuter Student :
Discover a New Frontier at The Rock, 206 Union - 11:15 a.m

Commuter students often have a unique set of concerns when beginning the transition to college life. This session will address many commuter issues in a fun and informative way. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet other commuter students, gain knowledge of the SRU community, and learn how to become active on campus.

"For me, living off-campus is like having a home away from home. You have your own space to do what you want, don’t need a meal plan, don’t have a roommate, and have more flexible time of your own.  I work in the Admissions Office and also help out with the Opportunity Knocks program every year.  These jobs have helped me become better acquainted with SRU's students, faculty, and staff by opening up the door to different opportunities that allow me to break out my shell and meet people with different backgrounds than my own.  Living off-campus means having or sharing an apartment and experiencing more freedom and responsibility. While you may have to work harder living on your own and being a commuter, it is a lot of fun and is a valuable experience for the future."
