Swimming is permitted only when supervised by an ARC lifeguard or other certified aquatic center staff person lifeguard is on duty.
- It is the responsibility of all persons using the pool to familiarize themselves with and abide by the established policies and procedures.
- Admittance to the aquatic center is only permitted through the locker room.
- It is recommended that showers be taken before and after pool use.
- Children under 10 years of age must be directly supervised at all times, within the center, by their parent/guardian or other adult, age 18 or older.
- Food and beverages are permitted in the patio, lounge or concourse areas only.
• Glass containers are not permitted in the aquatic center.
• Gum chewing is prohibited in the pool.
- Appropriate swimwear must be worn. Cut-offs are not permitted.
- Infants and toddlers, in diapers, must wear tight fitting, lightweight cloth diapers covered by rubber swim pants with elasticized waist and legs.
• This is to protect other patrons, and to prevent the closing of the pool due to waste, according to Pennsylvania Department of Health Regulations.
- Diving is permitted in the deep end of the pool only.
- Behaviors such as running, dunking, splashing, horseplay and intoxication are prohibited.
- Flotation devices are allowed only with direct, in -water, adult supervision.
• Lifeguards have the right to limit use of these devices by children or adults.
- Counter-clockwise direction required of all swimmers utilizing lap lanes.
• Flotation devices are not permitted in designated lap lanes except for disabled individuals.
- Access to the deep water area requires passing a deep-water swim test. Patrons must swim 2 widths of the pool without stopping to rest.
- Balls, sinking aides and small water toys are permitted provided play does not interrupt other programs or swimmers.
- Swim masks and goggles are permitted at discretion of lifeguards on duty.
- Persons with infectious conditions should refrain from using the aquatic center. Bandages and tape should be removed before entering the water.
- Children over 5 years of age are required to use appropriate gender locker rooms with adult supervision.
General pool rules and regulations apply.
- Entering and exiting the Aquatic center patio must be from the aquatic center.
- The patio will be closed during certain times of the year and during inclement weather.
- Food and beverages must be kept in the patio area only.
• Glass containers and coolers are not permitted.
- Patio furniture is provided.
• Students and patron furniture is not permitted.
- Smoking is not permitted on the patio area.
