Backpacking Adventure Weekend – Join us for a fun filled weekend of hiking and camping in the Clear Creek State Forest.

Bicycle Maintenance Class – Hands on repair and tune up skills such as truing wheels, adjusting brakes, and shifting adjustments.  Bring your bike.

Common Hour Bike Tune-Up – SRU Outdoor Adventures teams up with the SRU Cycling Club and local bike shops to offer free bicycle tune-ups.

Cross Country Ski Touring/Winter Camping Weekend – Sleeping in the snow, cooking in freezing temperatures and skiing with a pack on are some of the challenges that confront a cross-country ski backpack trip participant.

Sea Kayak Adventure to Lake Erie - Come experience sea kayak camping with Outdoor Adventures.  Spend 4 days to learn skills, have paddling fun and camp on Lake Erie.  Day one, learn about your boat, equipment, paddling and rescue techniques on a local waterway.  Day two we travel to Lake Erie to paddle and camp for 3 days and 2 nights in our kayaks.    Fee includes all instruction, boating equipment, and transportation.  Food, clothing and camping equipment are your responsibility.

Slippery Rock University Outdoor Adventure programs are by nature physically and psychologically demanding.  Although reasonable precautions are taken, injuries are possible.  Please be prepared to accept these circumstances and to do your part to prevent accidents.  If you have any doubt about your physical or mental preparedness for the activities of the workshop/class, please consult with the Outdoor Adventure Coordinator and your physician before participation.  Surgical procedures, fractures, bad sprains, or major illness/injuries that occurred less than one year ago, require a physician's release to participate.

You must be at least 14 years of age to participate.  Anyone under the age of 18 MUST have their parent or legal guardian accompany them at the time of registration!  The minor's parent or legal guardian MUST sign the waiver form in the presence of an ARC staff.  A participating adult MUST also accompany any participant under the age of 18 on the program.  The adult must be at least 21 years old who will participate in and be responsible for the minor during the program.  The adult accompanying a minor must sign up for the adventure at the same time as the minor.

In addition, the Outdoor Adventure Program staff reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who in their sole judgment is unable to participate due to physical or mental limitations.
