“Perk” Programs:Fitness Assessments: Resting HR, Resting BP, Body Composition (% body fat, lean mass to fat mass comparisons), Flexibility, Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, and Cardiovascular Fitness. Assessments are conducted all summer, and the data will show your weaknesses and strengths to help us create an exercise program. The exerciser can compare pre and post program data to monitor their progress. Equipment Orientations: Fitness center orientations include instruction on how to correctly and safely operate cardiovascular, selectorized, plate loaded and free weight equipment. Other topics that will be covered include proper seat adjustment, movement speed, posture, breathing sequence, and muscle group isolation. Exercise Programming: The RWFC Team is trained to assist members in development of individualized fitness programs. Exercise programs include guidelines for aerobic, muscular fitness and flexibility activities based upon individual goals. “Pay to Play” Programs Registration Deadline is Friday prior to start date ROCK Fit Teen: A weight training instructional course for males & females ages 12-17 designed to teach correct lifting procedures for total body weight training exercises. Course improves muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, body composition, and improves athletic performance. Reminder: The Russell Wright Fitness Center (RWFC) Team is comprised of one professional staff member and multiple exercise specialists (exercise and rehabilitative science majors) who are prepared to assist all members in enhancing their exercise programs and improving their fitness levels.
